Pulwama, Jun 25 (KNO): Two leopards were captured by the wildlife department in Koil area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday evening. Mudasir Ahmad, wildlife in charge for Pulwama and Shopian district told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Thursday evening, they received a call that leopard is roaming in Koil area of Pulwama. "Within no time we reached the spot and captured two little cubs and then searches were started in the area to trace their mother," he said. "The searches continued till late night which resumed on Friday morning but so far their mother hasn't been traced." "Searches are on, trap for the mother have been laid and we are hopeful that their mother will be captured soon, so that we can reunite the cubs and send them to Dachigam park," he said. "During the night we heard voices of more leopards. We are on the job to trace all of them and shift them to Dachigam," Mudasir said. "Our team is also at Heff Shopian where we have captured one leopard sometime before and since 20 days searches are being conducted to trace another leopard present there," he said—(KNO)
